GHMC indie dog adoption drive records 27 puppy adoptions

Hyderabad: The indie dog adoption drive under the GHMC’s PP-PP programme recorded 27 puppy adoptions, along with 69 sterilizations and 495 anti-rabies vaccinations across the city.

Officials said the initiative marked the 8th week and 54th day of the ongoing programme. The Veterinary Section of GHMC carried out a special drive in all circles, focusing on adoption, population control and disease prevention among stray dogs.

As part of the campaign, authorities facilitated the adoption of indie dog puppies to encourage responsible pet ownership. At the same time, teams conducted sterilization procedures to manage the stray dog population in a humane manner.
