Hyderabad: ReCollect App launch marked a new digital step in Construction and Demolition (C&D) waste management in Cyberabad. Cyberabad Municipal Corporation launched the platform to make C&D waste disposal easier and more accessible for citizens.
Sri Jayesh Ranjan, IAS, Special Chief Secretary, MA&UD Department, launched the app. Dr. G. Srijana, IAS, Commissioner, Cyberabad Municipal Corporation, attended the event along with senior officials.
Sri G. Venugopal Reddy, Additional Commissioner (Sanitation), was also present at the launch. Zonal Commissioners and other senior officials participated in the programme.
The new platform allows citizens to request doorstep collection of C&D waste. In addition, users can choose self-drop options at designated facilities.
Citizens can also track their collection requests through the platform. The app provides access to collection history, giving users greater visibility over their previous requests.
The civic body said the platform was designed to improve convenience and transparency in responsible C&D waste disposal. Therefore, the digital service is intended to simplify key steps involved in managing construction and demolition waste.
The ReCollect App launch represents the corporation’s move towards cleaner and more sustainable urban waste management. Citizens can use the platform to select the available disposal option that best suits their requirements.
ReCollect App launch adds tracking and collection options
Doorstep collection gives citizens a direct option for handing over C&D waste. Meanwhile, the self-drop facility provides an alternative for those choosing to transport waste to designated locations.
Request tracking allows citizens to follow the status of their collection requirements. The collection history feature also gives users a record of their previous requests.
The launch brought together officials from the municipal corporation and the MA&UD Department. Senior officials from the corporation’s zones also attended the programme.
The initiative is part of Cyberabad Municipal Corporation’s efforts towards cleaner, smarter and more sustainable urban waste management. The corporation said the platform would make responsible C&D waste disposal more convenient for citizens.
