Hyderabad: Hyderabad Traffic Police reviewed Bonalu traffic arrangements ahead of the Sri Ujjaini Mahankali Ammavari Bonalu Jathara, with senior officers conducting a field inspection to assess traffic management and security measures along the festival procession route.
Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic-I, Avinash Kumar, IPS, inspected key junctions, including Bata X Road in Secunderabad, which falls under the Mahankali Traffic Police Station limits. The inspection was aimed at ensuring smooth traffic movement and effective crowd management during the annual festival.
During the visit, Avinash Kumar held an on-site meeting with Deputy Commissioner of Police, Malkajgiri Zone, Ch. Sridhar, IPS, and Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic, Malkajgiri, K. Rahul Reddy, IPS. The officers reviewed the preparedness of various departments and discussed measures to minimise inconvenience to commuters.
Bonalu traffic arrangements focus on diversions and parking
The discussions centred on traffic diversions, alternate routes, designated parking areas and coordination between Hyderabad and Malkajgiri traffic police to ensure seamless movement during the Bonalu celebrations.
The Hyderabad Traffic Police said coordinated planning and advance preparations would help maintain public safety and regulate traffic effectively during one of the city’s largest religious festivals.
