Hyderabad: Vedma Bhojju is presently serving as the Indian National Congress (INC) MLA from Khanapur (ST). He entered the Telangana Legislative Assembly in December 2023 after defeating his Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) rival by 4,702 votes.
Political and personal background
Vedma Bhojju hails from the tribal belt of Telangana, with Khanapur constituency spread across Adilabad, Mancherial and Nirmal districts. His 2023 campaign focused on the concerns of Scheduled Tribe communities, including land rights, health care and road connectivity.
As an INC candidate, Bhojju projected himself as a strong voice for tribal rights.
