Hyderabad: Charminar Police apprehended a suspect in a two wheeler theft case and recovered three stolen vehicles following sustained surveillance and intelligence gathering.
The accused, identified as Mohd Nayeem Khan alias Mohd Salman, a 26-year-old Rapido driver from King Koti, was arrested on April 28 at Madina X Road. Police said he was involved in multiple automobile thefts across Charminar and Nallakunta police station limits.
Officials said the crime team tracked the accused using CCTV footage and inputs from informants. They also monitored his movements through social media activity before locating and apprehending him.
During questioning, the accused confessed to stealing three two wheelers. Police recovered three Honda Activa scooters in green, brown and black colours from his possession.

Police said the two wheeler theft investigation relied on continuous monitoring of the accused’s movements. Teams observed his activities closely and identified patterns before making the arrest.
The operation was carried out by Inspector T. Rambabu along with officers K. Narsing Rathod and G. Sateesh Reddy under the supervision of ACP P. Chandrashekar of Charminar Zone.
Officials said further investigation is underway to determine if the accused was involved in additional theft cases.
