Hyderabad: BRS leader Shaik Abdullah Sohail accused the Congress government of harassing BRS workers and intimidating voters before the Jubilee Hills bypoll scheduled for November 11. He called on people to vote fearlessly for Maganti Sunitha, wife of late MLA Maganti Gopinath.
Sohail alleged misuse of state machinery under Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy. “Instead of focusing on governance, the Chief Minister is supervising a campaign of fear. Our workers are detained, homes raided, and supporters threatened simply for supporting BRS,” he said.
BRS vows strong fight against Congress tactics
He alleged large-scale bribery and misinformation. “Bundles of cash are being distributed in Jubilee Hills to buy votes. Fake videos and false campaigns are being spread to malign BRS. This election is not fair—it’s an attempt to silence democracy,” he said.
Sohail said K. T. Rama Rao’s campaign had built strong public engagement. “We have reached every voter through meetings and outreach. People trust BRS’s credibility, not Congress’s coercion,” he added.
He said Gopinath’s legacy would help Sunitha’s victory. “Every vote for Maganti Sunitha is for self-respect and Telangana’s dignity,” Sohail concluded.
