Hyderabad: Police detected the Bahadurpura murder case and arrested the prime accused, Sulaiman Sayeed alias Suleman, for allegedly murdering his wife, Nishad Fatima, over long-standing suspicion about her character and repeated disputes regarding her visits to her parental home.
The accused, a resident of Kishan Bagh, was taken into custody after investigators tracked him through field intelligence and technical evidence. Police said the arrest was made within days of the offence following a focused investigation launched after the crime was reported.
According to investigators, marital discord had persisted for a long period between the couple. Despite mediation efforts through Lok Adalat proceedings, the accused allegedly continued to subject the deceased to physical and mental harassment. Police said he remained suspicious of her character and harboured resentment over her frequent visits to her mother’s residence.
On June 7, 2026, another argument reportedly broke out between the couple over the same issue. Investigators said the accused then concealed a kitchen knife and waited for an opportunity to carry out the attack.

Police alleged that while Nishad Fatima, 30, was alone and asleep in the house, the accused attacked her and slit her throat, resulting in her death on the spot. Following the incident, he allegedly disposed of their mobile phones and fled in an attempt to destroy evidence and evade arrest.
In a separate victim-related development, investigators said the deceased had faced repeated harassment despite earlier attempts to resolve the marital dispute through legal and conciliatory channels. Police believe the murder was the culmination of prolonged domestic conflict and suspicion.
Based on the complaint, a case was registered and an intensive investigation began immediately. Through sustained efforts, officers identified the accused, traced his movements and apprehended him. Further investigation is continuing.
