Lorry hits RTC bus and bike in NagarKurnool, one killed

Hyderabad: A NagarKurnool road accident claimed one life and left 10 people injured after a speeding lorry rammed into an RTC bus and a two-wheeler near Peddapur village in Veldanda mandal on Thursday.

Police said the lorry first hit the bike and then collided with the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation bus, causing panic among passengers. The rider of the two-wheeler died on the spot due to the impact. His identity was yet to be officially confirmed.

The injured passengers, who were travelling in the bus at the time of the accident, sustained varying degrees of injuries. Locals rushed to the spot and alerted emergency services.

NagarKurnool road accident victims shifted to hospital

All 10 injured passengers were shifted to the Kalvakurthi Government Hospital for treatment. Doctors said their condition was stable, while further medical assessment was underway.

Police reached the accident site and cleared traffic on the road. A case was registered, and an investigation was launched to determine the cause of the accident, including the speed of the lorry and possible negligence. Officials said more details would be known after questioning the driver and eyewitnesses.
