Borabanda woman murdered; suspect Zaher taken into custody by Hyderabad police

Hyderabad: Police took Zaher into custody after a young woman was murdered in Borabanda. The incident adds to growing concern over violent crimes in the city.

According to police, the victim worked at a pub where she met the accused. Later, she changed her job and joined another pub. Investigators said Zaher grew resentful after she stopped speaking to him. He also began tracking her movements.

Police said Zaher called the woman on the pretext of talking. Subsequently, he killed her. After the murder, he dumped the body near the wall of a nearby house in Borabanda.

The case came to light after the victim’s family filed a complaint. Following this, police launched a search and traced the suspect.

Officers confirmed that Zaher remains in custody. They are questioning him to establish the motive and sequence of events. Meanwhile, police are examining the crime scene and verifying evidence. They are also checking the victim’s work history and last known movements.
