Media accreditation process reviewed by collector Narayana Reddy

Hyderabad: The media accreditation process was reviewed by District Collector C Narayana Reddy during a meeting with newly elected district media accreditation committee members.

The meeting was held on April 29 at the Integrated District Offices Complex in Rangareddy district. The Collector congratulated the newly elected members and outlined guidelines for issuing accreditation cards.

He directed officials to ensure that only eligible journalists receive accreditation cards in accordance with GO 252 norms. Moreover, he stressed the need to strictly follow rules and maintain transparency throughout the process.

The Collector said media representatives play a crucial role in informing the public about government schemes and development programmes. Therefore, he asked the committee to ensure the accreditation process runs smoothly through regular coordination.

The Collector emphasised that the media accreditation process must adhere to established norms and procedures. He also advised committee members to discuss issues periodically and move forward in a coordinated manner.

Later, the committee members felicitated the Collector with a shawl and bouquet. The meeting was attended by District PRO Baleshwari and committee members including K. Srikant Reddy, Shekhar Uppari, Syed Ikramulla Hussaini, Annavarapu Shekhar Babu and others.
