GHMC conducts sports events under Praja Palana programme

Hyderabad: GHMC organised sports activities across multiple circles under the Praja Palana–Pragati Pranalika programme to promote physical fitness, sportsmanship and community participation.

The GHMC sports events witnessed active participation from staff members, local youth and residents across different zones. Officials said the programme aimed to encourage healthy recreational activities and strengthen community engagement through sports competitions.

At Lalapet Sports Complex in Mettuguda Circle, the Deputy Commissioner and Assistant Sports Director attended the event and distributed prizes to winners. Similar prize distribution ceremonies were also held at the VPG Playground, where officials appreciated participants for their enthusiasm and encouraged them to continue taking part in sports and fitness activities.

Charminar Zone hosts GHMC sports events successfully

In Charminar Zone, the Deputy Commissioner and Assistant Sports Director distributed prizes during the concluding ceremony held at Darulshifa. Several sports competitions were conducted as part of the programme and received a positive response from residents.

Officials said the events promoted team spirit, discipline and active community involvement across GHMC circles. Participants from different localities joined the activities, creating a lively atmosphere during the competitions.

GHMC stated that the Praja Palana–Pragati Pranalika initiative would continue organising public engagement programmes through sports, fitness and other community activities in various circles across the city.
