Hyderabad: Police launched an investigation into the Attapur kidnapping case after a young woman was allegedly taken away by four unidentified men in a car in full public view on Wednesday. DCP Srinivas reached the spot and supervised the initial inquiry.
Police examined CCTV camera footage from the area to verify whether an actual kidnapping took place or if the incident involved another dispute or personal issue. Officers said they were investigating all possible angles before confirming the nature of the case.
Witnesses told police that the young woman was known to some of the youths involved in the incident. However, officials did not disclose further details about their relationship.
