Hyderabad: Police launched an investigation after an unidentified man stabbed a woman near the Canara Bank in Bhadrachalam’s old market area and fled the scene.
According to preliminary information, the woman was attacked indiscriminately with a knife in a public place. The assailant escaped immediately after the attack. Although local residents noticed the incident and tried to catch the attacker, he managed to evade them.
The injured woman was rushed to the Bhadrachalam Government Area Hospital in a 108 ambulance. Doctors admitted her for treatment, and her condition was being monitored.

Police reached the spot soon after receiving information from locals and began collecting evidence. Officers examined the surroundings, spoke to eyewitnesses, and reviewed available clues to identify the attacker.
The police said efforts were on to trace the suspect and determine the motive behind the attack. A case was registered, and further investigation was underway.
