RO water plant inaugurated at Suraram ZPHS by alumnus

Hyderabad: Alumnus Lakshmi Ramachander inaugurated an RO water plant at Suraram ZPHS in Chinnashankarampet mandal of Medak district on Tuesday. He installed the facility at his own expense in memory of his parents, Shamamma and Narahari.

Ramachander, who works as a manager at the Hyderabad Press Club, also distributed examination pads to 152 students studying at the school after the inauguration.

Addressing the gathering, he said he would continue to support the development of his native village and the government school in every possible way. Teachers and students welcomed the initiative and said the RO plant would ensure safe drinking water and improve daily conditions on the campus.

Suraram village sarpanch Chiluka Nagaraju and deputy sarpanch Mallesh attended the programme. Headmaster Sai Reddy, villagers, teaching staff, and students also participated and thanked the alumnus for his support.

They said the water plant would benefit students throughout the year and urged other former students to take up similar initiatives to strengthen government schools in rural areas.
