Hyderabad: The education department has decided to print a QR code on Class 10 hall tickets to help students reach their examination centres easily. Students can scan the QR code to view the exact location of their allotted centre.

The department linked the QR code to a centre locator application. Through this tool, students can navigate directly to the exam venue. Officials said they had already introduced the system for Intermediate exams. They have now extended it to all Class 10 examinations.
The annual Class 10 examinations will take place from March 14 to April 16, 2026. This year, a record number of students registered for the exams.
Officials said 5.27 lakh students paid examination fees this year. More than 10,000 of them registered as private candidates. Last year, 5.09 lakh students paid the fee. An additional 16,000 candidates registered this year.
Authorities expect the QR code system to reduce confusion on exam days. They believe it will help students reach their centres on time.
