Hyderabad: Rachakonda Commissioner of Police Sudheer Babu on Thursday reviewed the security and logistics arrangements for the upcoming Global Summit at Future City, Kandukur mandal, Rangareddy district.
Additional DGP Fire Services Vikram Singh Mann and IAS officer Shashank joined the review. The team held a coordination meeting with department heads at the venue. They also inspected the site to assess fire safety, security zones and crowd-management plans.
During the review, the Commissioner directed officials to plug all possible security gaps. He stressed the need for seamless coordination across departments. Since the summit carries international importance under the Telangana Chief Minister’s leadership, he called for tight security with support from law and order police, traffic personnel, Special Branch, Intelligence, Octopus, Greyhounds and bomb and dog squads.
Global Summit security review includes 3-tier VIP cover, 1,000 CCTV cameras
The summit will host nearly 600 representatives, including global investors, multinational CEOs and top Indian industrialists. CP Sudheer Babu said VIP guests will receive three-tier security cover.
Police plan to install more than 1,000 CCTV cameras across the venue. All cameras will link to a central control room for real-time surveillance. Around 1,000 traffic police officers will manage diversions, barricades and parking. Special traffic marshals will help maintain smooth vehicle movement.
Officials discussed essential event infrastructure such as barracks, mess facilities, kitchens and sanitation. Traffic diversions will remain in place for two days. Authorities have advised the public to use alternate routes to avoid inconvenience.
