Fire damages Nizamabad bank and destroys several vital records

Hyderabad: A serious fire incident occurred at the Telangana Grameena Regional Bank in Subhash Nagar, Nizamabad. Smoke rose from the interiors of the branch late Wednesday night. Flames spread before responders arrived. Locals informed police and fire teams immediately. Officers and firefighters reached the scene within minutes. Conditions grew difficult as the blaze intensified.

City CI Srinivas Raju and Three Town SI Haribabu led the response. Fire staff attempted to enter the building. However, heavy flames blocked every entry point. The smoke was dense. The heat pushed responders away. Residents watched as the fire moved through the bank’s work area. Staff members also reached the spot and assisted officials.

Officials assess destruction caused by the Nizamabad bank fire

The Nizamabad bank fire burned for nearly two hours. Firefighters managed to bring the flames under control. A later inspection revealed complete damage to office equipment. Officials listed the loss of 25 computers and seven air conditioners. Important records were also destroyed. Police said no documents could be recovered due to the heat.

Bank officials entered the building once the site cooled. They checked each section for salvageable material. Almost everything had turned to ash. The inspection team noted widespread structural damage. Officers launched a case based on a complaint filed by bank manager Varanasi Ranjith.

SI Haribabu said they are investigating all angles. Electrical short circuit is one possibility. However, the cause has not been confirmed. Technical experts will examine the site further. The inquiry will continue until the final report is ready.
