Hyderabad: TPCC spokesperson Syed Nizamuddin on Saturday predicted that the Congress party would secure a clear lead in the Jubilee Hills Assembly by-election. He said residents had grown disillusioned with the Bharat Rashtra Samithi’s (BRS) decade of “neglect and propaganda.”
Campaigning across Shaikpet, Nizamuddin met voters and said their response reflected confidence in the Revanth Reddy government. “Congress has focused on action rather than rhetoric—delivering welfare to every household,” he said.
Highlighting the government’s performance, he cited timely ration supply, farm support, and aid for minorities, women, and unemployed youth. “The BRS, despite its years in power, have ignored basic urban problems,” he said.
He criticised BRS leader K. T. Rama Rao for what he termed “false and hollow” campaign claims. “People remember waterlogging and broken roads. Those failures cannot be erased with slogans,” he said.
Nizamuddin urges Jubilee Hills voters to back accountable governance
Nizamuddin described the bypoll as a contest between “delivery and deception.” He said Revanth Reddy’s emphasis on social justice was evident through inclusion of minorities in state panels and plans to enhance Muslim reservation to 10 per cent.
He warned citizens against online misinformation. “BRS is spreading fake messages to hide its record. We have informed the Election Commission. Telangana voters will make an informed choice,” he said.
He praised Congress candidate V. Naveen Yadav’s youth-focused campaign and grassroots appeal. “Support from every section shows that Jubilee Hills is ready for change,” he said.
Concluding, Nizamuddin said Congress momentum was visible across the constituency. “We aim to uphold public faith in transparent governance. On November 11, Jubilee Hills will set an example for Hyderabad,” he said. Counting will be held November 14.
