Hyderabad: Arham Adil has strongly endorsed Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy for his decisive measures against drug abuse, while also backing stricter enforcement mechanisms to strengthen the campaign.
Adil said that both drug abuse and cybercrime have become pressing concerns. He pointed out that evolving technologies have made crime more sophisticated. Consequently, authorities must adopt modern and proactive strategies.

He noted that drug usage is spreading among educated youth, which is particularly alarming. Therefore, he stressed the importance of redirecting young individuals toward sports and positive engagement.
In addition, Arham Adil proposed introducing dedicated checkpoints for drug testing. He said such measures would act as a deterrent. He also called for heavy fines and legal action against offenders. At the same time, he emphasised the need for sufficient drug testing kits within police departments.
Adil referred to Punjab’s situation as a warning sign. He appreciated the Chief Minister’s clear resolve to prevent Telangana from facing a similar crisis.
Moreover, he highlighted Hyderabad’s football legacy and welcomed renewed attention to the sport. He said initiatives like the Young India Sports University would help revive sporting excellence.
He praised the recognition given to athletes such as Nikhat Zareen, Mohammed Siraj, and Deepthi Jeevanji, stating that these measures inspire broader participation.
Adil concluded that a combined approach of strict enforcement and sports development is essential for long-term societal progress.
