Indiramma housing scheme funds released for 4,473 beneficiaries

Hyderabad: Indiramma housing scheme funds worth ₹48.79 crore were released to 4,473 beneficiaries, with Housing Corporation Managing Director V. P. Gautam stating that payments are being issued on time based on construction progress.

Officials said the Indiramma housing scheme funds were disbursed weekly depending on the stage of construction. In the past week, 1,969 beneficiaries who completed roof-level construction received ₹17.23 crore. Meanwhile, 2,504 beneficiaries who reached slab level were paid ₹31.56 crore.

The Managing Director said the government is moving steadily towards its target of completing 1 lakh houses under the scheme. He added that timely financial support is being ensured to avoid delays in construction.

So far, a total of ₹5,376.22 crore has been released under the Indiramma housing scheme funds. Authorities said the assistance is provided in phases, with up to ₹5 lakh allocated per house based on construction milestones.

Under the Indiramma housing scheme funds structure, ₹2,125.98 crore has been released for houses at basement level. Additionally, ₹1,518.51 crore has been provided for roof-level completion, while ₹1,731.73 crore has been disbursed for slab completion.

Officials said housing construction is progressing across the state at multiple stages. Around 2.65 lakh houses have been grounded so far. Of these, 1,13,365 houses have reached slab level, while 34,552 houses have completed roof level.

Further, nearly 61,000 houses have completed the basement stage. Authorities said these figures reflect steady progress in implementing the scheme.

The government stated that it is accelerating both construction and fund release to ensure timely completion of houses. It added that the Indiramma housing scheme funds remain central to improving housing access for beneficiaries across Telangana.
