Vote chori allegations intensify as BRS targets congress in Telangana

Hyderabad: Allegations of vote chori have sharpened political rivalry in Telangana. The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) accused the ruling Congress of manipulating voter rolls in Adilabad district.

The BRS said ex-sarpanch Kadam Vanitha and her husband from Adegama-B village, Ichoda, lost their names from the local voter list. Party leaders claimed officials shifted their names to another location to block their participation in upcoming local body polls.

BRS leaders argued that the Congress, while blaming the BJP for similar acts nationally, was repeating the same methods in Telangana.

They described the incident as a denial of democratic rights. The party also warned that such practices could damage electoral transparency and weaken public trust.
