Six-year-old Army school student killed in Secunderabad road accident

Hyderabad: A six-year-old Class 1 student of an Army school was killed on the spot in a Secunderabad road accident after a two-wheeler skidded and came under an Army vehicle near the RK Puram flyover.

The accident occurred in Secunderabad under the limits of Neredmet police station. Police said the child was travelling on the two-wheeler along with the mother when the vehicle lost balance, leading to the fatal crash.

The child’s mother sustained serious injuries in the incident and was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. Doctors said her condition was critical but stable.

Police registered a case and launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident, including road conditions and possible negligence. Officials said further details would emerge after examining CCTV footage and witness statements.

Police said the Secunderabad road accident occurred close to the busy RK Puram flyover, an area with heavy vehicular movement during peak hours. Officers visited the spot and conducted a preliminary inspection as part of the investigation process.
