Hyderabad: A couple suicide Sangareddy case was reported on Monday after a husband and wife allegedly ended their lives following a family dispute within the limits of Ameenpur police station, police said.
The deceased were identified as Lal Shekhar, 32, and his wife Anusha, 25. According to police, the couple originally hailed from Peravalli village in Maddikera mandal of Kurnool district in Andhra Pradesh and had been living in Ilapur Chinnathanda under GHMC limits for the past two years.
Inspector Naresh said the couple was working as washerfolk and had been residing with family members. On Sunday, an argument reportedly broke out between Lal Shekhar and Anusha, following which she went to her parents’ house.
Police said Anusha allegedly died by suicide at her parents’ residence. When Lal Shekhar reached the house and saw her, he panicked and returned to his residence.

Later, Lal Shekhar allegedly died by suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan at his home, police said. The incident came to light after family members alerted authorities.
Based on a complaint lodged by the deceased man’s sister, Tulsi, police registered a case and began an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the couple suicide Sangareddy incident. Officials said further details would emerge after completing preliminary inquiries.
