Hyderabad: The Commissioner’s Task Force, South West Zone, in coordination with Borabanda Police, cracked a series of bike theft cases by arresting a notorious bike thief and a receiver involved in disposing of stolen vehicles.
Police identified the main accused as Manjul Tushar, who worked as a helper in hotels. Investigations revealed that he developed addictions and a desire for a lavish lifestyle, which led him to commit thefts. Initially, he stole gold ornaments from his own house and later targeted two-wheelers across multiple police station limits.
Notorious bike thief targeted multiple localities
The accused confessed to stealing bikes from Madhura Nagar, Madhapur, Kukatpally, Alwal and SR Nagar areas. All five recovered vehicles were linked to registered cases under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
Police said the stolen bikes were parked at the residence of Mohd Waheed, who acted as a receiver. Both accused were apprehended during a patrol operation on December 18, 2025.
Officials stated that further legal action is being taken as per procedure.
