Hyderabad: At least 11 students fell ill after chocolates were consumed at a Nandyal Govt School in Nandikotkur town of Nandyal district, Andhra Pradesh.
Police said an unidentified person handed over a chocolate packet to a seventh-grade student, who later distributed it among students at school. A PET teacher and 11 students consumed the chocolates.

Soon after consumption, students complained of stomach pain and vomiting. Their eyelids reportedly turned black, alarming teachers and parents. The affected students were immediately shifted to a hospital for treatment.
In the wake of the incident, police registered a case and launched an investigation. Authorities are examining whether the chocolates are connected to a recently uncovered illegal narcotics manufacturing unit in Nandikotkur.
Police are also trying to trace the identity of the unknown person who gave the chocolates to the students.
