Hyderabad: Labour and Mines Minister G. Vivek Venkatswamy on Thursday called upon students to adopt education as a lifelong pursuit, stating that education transforms lives and opens doors to future opportunities.
He was addressing students after inaugurating the scholarship programme at KLH University. During an interactive session, the Minister spoke on “Personality Development and Higher Values,” urging students to combine knowledge with discipline and respect for parents.

Dr Vivek Venkatswamy lauded the university’s ₹100-crore scholarship initiative and said such programmes empower students to focus on excellence. He said he entered public life after completing medical education, driven by a desire to serve society.
Reflecting on his journey, he said he learned the importance of setting clear goals early in life. He added that challenges are inevitable, particularly in politics, but students should never fear them.
The Minister also referred to Vishakha Industries, which operates across 12 states and employs nearly 5,000 people. He recalled his role in the Telangana statehood movement and encouraged students to work hard to build a meaningful future. Faculty members and students were present in large numbers.
