Hyderabad: A road accident involving two cars and a trolley auto occurred late Friday night on the Hyderabad–Chevella road. The collision caused the trolley auto to overturn on the highway. The incident took place within the limits of Moinabad mandal.
According to police, a Honda Venue was travelling from Hyderabad towards Chevella. Meanwhile, a Baleno car approached from behind and attempted to overtake it.
Two cars collide, trolley auto overturns after overtaking attempt
While overtaking near Kethireddypalli crossroads at Green Field Resort, the Baleno rammed into the Honda Venue from the rear. During the same manoeuvre, the Baleno also collided head-on with a trolley auto carrying carrots from Chevella to Hyderabad.
The impact caused the trolley auto to overturn on the road. The Baleno driver suffered minor injuries in the accident.
Highway Patrolling-7 traffic police reached the spot immediately. They shifted the injured driver to a nearby hospital for treatment. Later, officials cleared the damaged vehicles with a crane and restored traffic flow.
Police conducted drunk-and-drive tests on all drivers involved. The tests confirmed that none of them had consumed alcohol.
