Hyderabad: The TET-2026 examinations began across the state on Monday. Education authorities said they completed all arrangements to ensure the smooth conduct of the online tests.
Officials said the Teacher Eligibility Test will continue until January 20 at designated centres. Authorities instructed candidates to reach their examination centres at least 90 minutes before the scheduled time. Officials also clarified that candidates cannot enter the centres once the gates close.
Candidates must carry their hall ticket and an original government-issued identity card. Authorities banned electronic devices, including mobile phones, inside the examination centres. Officials also advised candidates to verify all details on their hall tickets after downloading them.
If the photograph or signature on the hall ticket appears unclear or incorrect, candidates must paste a recent photograph and get it attested by a gazetted officer. The Education Department said candidates can leave the examination centre only after completing the exam duration.
TET-2026 exams attract over 2.37 lakh applicants statewide
Officials said 2,37,754 candidates applied for the TET-2026 examinations, covering both Paper-1 and Paper-2. Of them, 71,670 are in-service teachers who applied after a Supreme Court verdict made TET mandatory across the country.
To conduct the examination, the Education Department set up 97 examination centres across the state. Officials deployed additional staff and technical teams to prevent disruptions and ensure strict adherence to examination guidelines.
