Telangana Governor distributes laptops to Akshaya Vidya women tutors

Hyderabad: The Hon’ble Governor of Telangana, Jishnu Dev Varma, distributed laptops to women tutors of Akshaya Vidya Foundation at Lok Bhavan on Monday, underlining the role of education in breaking cycles of ignorance and poverty.

Addressing the gathering, the Governor said knowledge empowers individuals and builds resilient communities, while education unlocks human potential. He referred to Article 21A of the Constitution, which guarantees free and compulsory education for children aged 6 to 14 years, and commended the foundation’s sustained service to underprivileged children.

The Governor said the distribution of laptops would strengthen teaching methods, promote digital inclusion and help bridge learning gaps among students from marginalised backgrounds. He added that access to digital tools would also prepare children to participate effectively in the evolving digital economy.
