Hyderabad: Polling for municipal corporation elections in Telangana will take place on February 11, 2026. The Election Commission issued the notification for polls to seven urban local bodies.
As per the schedule, the nomination process will start on January 28, 2026. Election officials said they have begun preparations to ensure smooth polling and counting across all corporations.
The elections will cover seven municipal corporations with a total of 414 wards across the state.
The corporations going to polls are Karimnagar with 66 wards, Peddapalli with 60 wards, Nizamabad with 60 wards, Mahabubnagar with 60 wards, Mancherial with 60 wards, Bhadradri Kothagudem with 60 wards, and Nalgonda with 48 wards.

Officials said voters will cast their ballots on February 11 in all seven corporations. They added that counting will take place on February 13, followed by the official announcement of results.
The elections are likely to see intense political competition. They will play a key role in deciding control of major urban local bodies ahead of future state-level polls.
