Hyderabad: Tarnaka Thunders win a nail-biting encounter against Central Zone Warriors in the Media Cricket League held as part of PM Sansad Khel Mahotsav–2026 at the Secunderabad Gymkhana Ground on Wednesday.
The tournament is being organised in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision to promote sports culture and fitness across the country. The sports events are being conducted under the leadership of Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy, with the ABV Foundation overseeing arrangements in the Secunderabad Parliamentary constituency.
In the match, Tarnaka Thunders successfully chased a target of 128 runs set in 10 overs, displaying composure and teamwork under pressure. The contest remained tense until the final overs, drawing applause from spectators at the venue.
Captain Raju of Raj News anchored the chase with a commanding knock of 81 runs, laying a strong foundation for the victory. Contributions from players across departments helped Tarnaka Thunders maintain momentum and seal the win.

Organisers said the match reflected the growing sporting talent within the media fraternity. They added that PM Sansad Khel Mahotsav–2026 was providing an effective platform to encourage participation in sports and foster enthusiasm among professionals from different fields.
