RV Karnan sanitation inspections across Greater Hyderabad

Hyderabad: RV Karnan sanitation inspections were conducted across key stretches of Greater Hyderabad, with the GHMC Commissioner reviewing field-level cleanliness and issuing strict directions to officials. He carried out inspections from Indira Park in Gandhi Nagar to Secunderabad Railway Station along with Zonal Commissioner Ravi Kiran.

During the drive, the Commissioner inspected Surabhi Park, P&T Colony, Gandhi Nagar Division and Kavadiguda. He examined sanitation conditions in public spaces and reviewed the functioning of Swachh Auto vehicles deployed for waste collection.

Moreover, he assessed the attendance of sanitation workers and verified whether regular sweeping and garbage clearance were taking place. The Commissioner stressed the need for daily monitoring to prevent lapses.

Monitoring Swachh Auto operations during RV Karnan sanitation inspections

As part of RV Karnan sanitation inspections, the Commissioner directed Deputy Commissioners, Solid Waste Management DEEs and AEs to ensure strict supervision of door-to-door garbage collection. He instructed officials to confirm that Swachh Auto sanitation workers collect waste from households every day without fail.

In addition, he ordered officials to focus on maintaining cleanliness at public places, roads and major junctions. He said authorities must ensure that high-footfall areas remain clean and free of waste accumulation.

The Commissioner reiterated that continuous field inspections and close supervision are essential to improve sanitation standards across the city.
