Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy unveils JCHSL diary

Hyderabad: Revenue, Housing and Information Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy on Saturday attended the JCHSL diary unveiling and released the 2026 diary brought out by The Journalists Co-operative Housing Society Limited in his chamber.

The JCHSL diary unveiling marked the first time the historic society compiled a comprehensive diary featuring member details, colony history and media-related information. Society president Brahmandaberi Goparaju briefed the minister about the initiative and its significance.

Established in 1960, the Journalists Co-operative Housing Society Limited has played a key role in providing housing support to media professionals in Hyderabad. The new diary documented the evolution of its colonies and recorded important institutional milestones.

During the JCHSL diary unveiling programme, managing committee members felicitated the minister with shawls. In response, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy congratulated the society and its members for preserving institutional history in a structured format.

He appreciated the effort to compile archival and member information into a single reference volume. Moreover, he said such documentation would help future generations understand the society’s contribution to journalists’ welfare.

Office bearers present at the event included Secretary Mikkilineni Ravindra Babu, Vice President Masade Lakshminarayana, Joint Secretary Dr. Challa Bhagyalakshmi, Treasurer Bheemagani Mahesh and Directors D. Kamalakaracharya and M.S.H. Hashmi.

The organisers said the 2026 edition aimed to strengthen communication among members and provide updated institutional data in an accessible format.
