Hyderabad: Medak Member of Parliament Raghunandan Rao on Tuesday called for stronger wildlife awareness to reduce human–wildlife conflict.
Speaking at a one-day programme at Narsapur Eco Park, he said education and public participation were critical to wildlife conservation. He stressed that close coordination between citizens and forest officials could help address wildlife-related challenges.
Rao said the programme aimed to improve public awareness and strengthen cooperation with wildlife authorities. He added that better coordination among departments would help prevent and reduce conflicts in the future.
Wildlife awareness programme focuses on coordination
The MP said timely communication and proactive engagement could avert conflicts and protect both people and wildlife. He also highlighted the need for shared responsibility in conservation efforts.
Senior forest officials, including Rajanna Circle CCF Ramalingam, attended the programme. Forest officers and staff from Sircilla, Karimnagar and Kamareddy districts also participated.
The programme focused on safe practices and coordinated response mechanisms to reduce wildlife-related conflicts.
