Hyderabad: Kova Laxmi has been serving as the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLA from Asifabad (ST) since December 2023. She won the 2023 Assembly election by a margin of 22,798 votes over Congress candidate Ajmera Shyam.
Political and personal background
Kova Laxmi has worked on issues concerning Scheduled Tribe communities in Komaram Bheem Asifabad district, prioritising access to welfare schemes, rural roads and basic services. Her public outreach has centred on strengthening government schools and health facilities in forest and agency areas.
Public service and affidavit details
As per her 2023 affidavit records collated by ADR/MyNeta, Laxmi declared total assets of around Rs 2.33 crore. She reported no major criminal cases.
