Police readiness, MCC enforcement set tone for Jubilee Hills by-election

Hyderabad: Police Commissioner V. C. Sajjanar said the Hyderabad City Police are fully ready to conduct the Jubilee Hills by-election peacefully and transparently. He assured that all election rules would be followed and that voters would get a safe environment to exercise their right to vote.

The Commissioner directed all licensed weapon holders—political leaders, traders, and individuals with personal permits—to deposit their firearms at local police stations without delay. Furthermore, he urged citizens to report any MCC violations or suspicious activity by calling Dial 100 or 112.

He said surveillance teams will monitor rowdy sheeters and history sheeters throughout the election period to maintain peace.

Meanwhile, District Election Returning Officer R. V. Karnan confirmed that district officials are ready for polling on 11 November, as per the Election Commission’s schedule. He stated that the Jubilee Hills constituency has 3,92,669 registered voters, and the Model Code of Conduct is already in effect.

Karnan warned that authorities will file cases against any political party or individual violating the MCC. In addition, he reminded new voters that they still have 10 days to enroll their names.

He announced that all party posters and banners across the constituency will be removed before polling. The vote counting will take place on 14 November at Potla Vijaya Bhaskar Reddy Stadium in Yousufguda. Karnan also appealed to officials for full cooperation to ensure smooth conduct of the by-election.
