Hyderabad: Severe disruptions across several routes have left passengers frustrated as IndiGo flight delays stretched from hours into days, forcing many to cancel long-planned events. Travellers reported repeated postponements, no alternative transport options and slow refund processes, resulting in widespread inconvenience.
Long delays on IndiGo flight schedules trigger cascading travel setbacks
Many passengers said they would have arrived at their destinations sooner had they opted for road or rail transport. Missed weddings, receptions, temple visits and leisure trips have turned carefully planned schedules upside down, leading to mounting public dissatisfaction.
One incident highlighted the extent of the disruption. A newlywed couple, Medha and Sangama, were stranded in Bhubaneswar after their IndiGo flight was cancelled. Their reception in Hubballi proceeded without them, with the bride’s parents sitting on the stage in their place while the couple greeted guests virtually through a video call.
Travellers have expressed concern about the lack of timely communication and the repeated deferrals of scheduled departures. With uncertainty prevailing, many passengers continue to wait for clear updates while their plans remain in limbo.
