Hyderabad drug peddling case: Police arrest couple, two others, seize narcotics

Hyderabad: Police arrested a couple along with two others in a Hyderabad drug peddling case and seized multiple narcotic substances during an operation conducted within the Chikkadpally police station limits.

Special teams of the Hyderabad Narcotics Enforcement Wing took four persons into custody. Of them, three were identified as drug peddlers, while one was found to be a consumer, police said. Officers recovered 22 grams of hydroponic ganja, 5 grams of MDMA, 5.5 grams of ecstasy pills and six LSD blots during searches.

Investigators identified one of the accused as Emmanuel, an employee of a private firm in Kondapur. Police said he lived with Susmita, a software engineer. According to officials, the couple sold drugs to finance a lavish lifestyle and maintain regular supply chains within the city.

Hyderabad drug peddling network linked to dark web supply

Police said the accused procured narcotic substances through the dark web and used cryptocurrency for payments to evade detection. Investigators found that the couple allegedly worked with the main supplier, identified as Sai Kumar.

Officials said the group distributed drugs to select customers across Hyderabad using discreet delivery methods. Police registered a case under relevant sections of law and said further investigation was underway to trace additional links in the Hyderabad drug peddling network.
