Harish Rao counters Revanth Reddy over jobs promise

Hyderabad: Former minister Harish Rao launched a sharp counter against Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, accusing him of betraying unemployed youth. He said the Chief Minister failed to honour promises made during the Assembly elections.

Questioning the Chief Minister’s priorities, Harish Rao asked whether Revanth Reddy had the courage to visit the Ashok Nagar Central Library. He contrasted this with the Chief Minister’s visit to a cinema theatre inauguration under heavy police security. According to him, Revanth Reddy attends public events but avoids meeting jobless youth seeking answers.

Harish Rao recalled that Revanth Reddy promised two lakh government jobs within one year during the election campaign. He alleged that the Chief Minister now avoids the unemployed because the government has taken no concrete steps to fulfil that promise.

Harish Rao questions job calendar and minister’s remarks

Continuing his attack, He said the promised job calendar had turned into a “jobless calendar.” He alleged that the government failed to issue recruitment notifications. He further claimed that the administration neglected government job creation after coming to power.

Harish Rao also criticised remarks made by minister Sridhar Babu, who reportedly said the government could not provide jobs to everyone. He said such statements revealed the government’s lack of commitment to unemployed youth.

He warned that continued avoidance of the Ashok Nagar library would amount to cheating aspirants. He alleged that the Indian National Congress government first gained the youth’s trust and later deceived them.
