GHMC intensified mega sanitation drive across Greater Hyderabad

Hyderabad: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation intensified the GHMC sanitation drive across the city as part of its ongoing mega special cleanliness programme, officials said on Tuesday.

Civic authorities said the special drive was being implemented vigorously in all circles to improve sanitation standards and prevent the accumulation of waste. Senior GHMC officials monitored the programme at the field level to ensure effective execution of the GHMC sanitation drive.

Officials said teams were deployed across residential areas, commercial zones and main roads to carry out cleaning operations and supervise sanitation workers. They added that real-time monitoring helped address local issues without delay.

GHMC sanitation drive focuses on garbage vulnerable points

As part of the GHMC sanitation drive, officials said special focus was placed on the removal of garbage vulnerable points across Greater Hyderabad on Tuesday. These locations, identified as frequent dumping spots, were cleared to prevent recurring waste accumulation.

Civic officials said the drive aimed to sustain cleanliness by eliminating chronic garbage points and strengthening daily sanitation practices. They said enforcement teams were also instructed to ensure compliance and discourage illegal dumping.
