GHMC mayor reviews Banjara Hills development works

Hyderabad: GHMC Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi held a review meeting with basti residents and civic officials to assess ongoing Banjara Hills development works and discuss the inauguration of a multi-purpose function hall in the division.

The meeting took place at the mayor’s camp office, where officials briefed her on completed and ongoing projects in the Banjara Hills division. The mayor said the multi-purpose function hall would provide a dedicated venue for social and cultural programmes for local residents, adding momentum to the development and community engagement.

She invited feedback from basti residents, discussed their civic concerns in detail, and instructed officials to take immediate steps to resolve issues raised during the interaction. The mayor stressed the need for prompt action and close coordination among departments to ensure visible improvements on the ground.

Civic works reviewed under Banjara Hills development

The mayor said works related to roads, drainage, street lighting, parks, and sanitation were underway in the division. She directed officials to monitor progress closely and ensure timely completion of all sanctioned projects under Banjara Hills development.

The review meeting was attended by the GHMC deputy commissioner, superintending engineer, division-level officials, representatives from the water works and electricity departments, basti representatives, and local leaders from the area. Officials assured the mayor that coordination would be strengthened to address pending works and public grievances.
