Gaza City evacuations highlight scale of humanitarian crisis

Hyderabad: The evacuation of over 100,000 residents from Gaza City underscores the scale of the humanitarian crisis unfolding as Israel intensifies its offensive. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu revealed the numbers on Sunday.

He alleged Hamas is preventing civilians from leaving by using them as shields, and in some cases firing on women and children.

City operations draw UN concern

The IDF distributed leaflets urging residents to leave, declaring Gaza City a Hamas stronghold and combat zone. Military units are now pushing deeper into the city.

Israel said humanitarian areas in southern Gaza provide temporary hospitals, tents, food, and water. Civilians were advised to relocate through safe routes.

The UN estimated around one million Palestinians remain inside Gaza . Aid agencies warned that forced mass movement without international coordination could aggravate an already dire humanitarian situation.
