Hyderabad: One person was killed and another injured in a fatal Adibatla road accident reported within the limits of Adibatla Police Station on Tuesday evening.
Police said the accident occurred around 4 pm on January 20, 2026, on the Outer Ring Road. A Tata Ace vehicle bearing registration number TS07-UK-5745 had been stopped on the roadside due to a puncture. While the occupants were repairing the vehicle, a lorry bearing registration number TG07-W-2866 was travelling towards Tukkuguda from Exit No. 12 at Bongloor.
When the lorry reached near Narayan Girls Hostel, the driver allegedly drove in a rash and negligent manner and rammed into Dileep, son of Kondalu, aged 28 years. He was a resident of Mulkanoor village in Andhra Pradesh. The lorry ran over him from behind, killing him on the spot.
Police to register Adibatla road accident case
Another person, identified as Venkat Reddy, sustained minor injuries in the Adibatla road accident and was shifted to AVS Hospital at Ragannaguda for treatment. His condition was said to be stable.
Police said the parents of the deceased had not yet reached the police station. After their arrival, Sub-Inspector Satyanarayana of Adibatla Police Station will register a case and take up further investigation into the incident.
