Hyderabad: Cyberabad SHE Teams carried out 176 decoy operations across the commissionerate limits. During these operations, teams caught 55 people engaging in indecent acts at public places.
Police booked petty cases in 45 instances. They counselled the remaining offenders on the spot.
Meanwhile, the SHE Teams received 18 complaints from women victims. They collected these complaints through direct reporting and digital platforms. Police examined every complaint and took action as per procedure.
At the same time, the Anti Human Trafficking Unit intensified enforcement under a special drive. The unit focused on child exploitation and child labour.
Cyberabad SHE Teams support Operation Smile-XII drive
As part of Operation Smile-XII, the Anti Human Trafficking Unit registered 119 cases. Police booked these cases under the Juvenile Justice Act and the Child Labour Act across Cyberabad limits.
The teams rescued 337 children during the drive. The rescued group included 329 boys and eight girls. Authorities then shifted all children to safe care facilities.
In addition, police addressed domestic disputes through Family Counselling Centres and CDEW Centres. These efforts helped reunite 30 families involved in marital disputes.
Furthermore, the AHTU and Cyberabad SHE Teams conducted awareness programmes across the commissionerate. Around 4,260 people attended these sessions. Officers educated them on human trafficking, child labour, eve teasing, cyber bullying, and cyber fraud.
Finally, police shared information on emergency helplines. These included women helpline 181, child helpline 1098, Dial 100, and cyber crime helpline 1930.
