In the agency areas of Andhra Pradesh, extreme cold prevailed. Dumbriguda in Alluri district recorded the lowest minimum temperature at 4.4 degrees Celsius. Meanwhile, Telangana also reported a significant dip. Patancheru recorded seven degrees Celsius, while Hyderabad city saw a low of 10.8 degrees Celsius.

Additionally, thick fog affected visibility from late night to early morning. Because of this, outdoor movement became difficult. People stepping out early reported severe discomfort, especially in open and elevated areas.

The weather department said the cold wave would continue and intensify over the next five days. Therefore, officials urged people to remain cautious as temperatures may drop further.

Doctors also advised children and older people to take precautions. They recommended wearing warm clothing and avoiding early morning exposure. In agency areas, officials advised motorists to drive carefully due to low visibility and slippery conditions caused by frost-like weather.
