Bogus voting allegation sparks criticism of Congress in Telangana

Hyderabad: BRS MLC Sravan Dasoju alleged that bogus voting occurred during the Jubilee Hills by-election and accused Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of involvement in the irregularities. He said the incident raised concerns about the conduct of the administration and the transparency of the electoral process. He posted his remarks on X, formerly known as Twitter.

He said the bypoll witnessed organised malpractice that threatened the credibility of the election. He called the episode a direct challenge to democratic values and said the supervision carried out during the poll needed serious scrutiny. He added that the irregularities reflected broader concerns about the functioning of the ruling party.

Sravan questions Congress stand after bogus voting claim

Sravan criticised Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, referring to his comments on alleged fraud in Bihar. He said Gandhi lacked moral ground to raise concerns about vote tampering elsewhere while his own party allegedly engaged in bogus voting in Telangana. He said this contrast exposed inconsistencies in the Congress approach to electoral issues.

He demanded that Gandhi respond to the allegations and ensure accountability within the party. He said the incident insulted honest voters in Telangana and urged the Congress to address the matter before commenting on electoral disputes in other regions.
