All India Craft Fair to begin from December 20

Hyderabad: The All India Craft Fair will begin on December 20 at Shilparamam, Madhapur. The Madhapur Shilparamam Arts, Crafts and Cultural Society organises the international handicraft festival every year in association with the National Jute Board.

The organisers will host the fair at the Shilparamam premises. They will set up around 450 stalls showcasing handicrafts from across the country. Artisans from several states will display traditional crafts, handlooms, and cultural artefacts.

All India Craft Fair to showcase crafts and cultural performances

In addition to the exhibition, the organisers will present daily cultural programmes. These include scientific, folk, and musical instrument-based performances. The South Zone Cultural Center, Thanjavur, and the South Central Zone Cultural Center, Nagpur, will organise several folk dance events.

The cultural line-up features Siddhi Dhamal, Fog and Ghumar, Chow Nrityam, Garadi Gombe, Kargam, Kavadi, and Sambalpuri dances. Through these performances, the organisers aim to highlight India’s cultural diversity.

Shilparamam Special Officer G. Kishan Rao said Indian artists would take part in the festival. He added that Non-Resident Indians from London, Dubai, California, Hawaii, Texas, Phoenixville, and Hong Kong would also participate.
